Knystautas A. Collins Guide: Birds of Russia, London: HarperCollins, 1993. Not a field guide, but many of the species are illustrated in the numerous colour and a few black-&-white photographs; with introduction to main vegetation zones; species lists. The text gives notes for each species (in systematic order) on such things as habitat, food, breeding and conservation status.
