NATIONAL PARKS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Currently there are 36 national parks in the Russian Federation, together covering about 70,000 square kilometres.

The postal and e-mail addresses are taken from Russian Conservation News no.42 (Fall 2006/Winter 2007), p.33. Russian addresses are written from the general to the particular, and are given in that order here. Oblique lines separate the lines of the address, which should end with 'The Director' or his/her name. Finish off with 'RUSSIA' at the bottom. Thus, address a letter concerning science to Alaniya National Park as follows:

Coordinates are given for each park (as on the zapovedniks map) so that its position can, at least approximately.
Maps of the protected areas across the whole country, and also of each individual park, can be seen on the website of the Biodiversity Conservation Centre.
